Tired of not being able to access your files, docs, etc., because they are never available when you need them?
With a free service called "Dropbox", you can access them from any computer at any time. Better'n carrying them around on a thumb drive and, although not required for usage, if you install the program on your personal PCs and laptops, you can drag&drop your files into that folder, and the program will sync to all your other PCs - ready to use wherever you happen to be.
Kinda handy...

Do you need to install a program on the computer you're at first? For instance, if I went to a friends house, how would I access Dropbox on their computer, to access a file on my office computer?

With DropBox you have two options:
1) For your PERSONAL PCs, you would install the Program and this would create a folder (preferably on your desktop, I suppose) and you could simply drag-and-drop any files that you wish to access from another location. The program SYNCs this folder to all your other PERSONAL PCs - It would then be present and available on all your other PCs almost immediately.
2) Dropbox is also web-based. So, if you were at, say a friends house, you could sign onto DropBox on Web, using your account ID and password. In this case, you could STILL access and manipulate all your files but they would NOT be resident on your friend's computer. When you signed off the website, the files would NOT be syncronized to the computer that you were on at the time.

Oh yeah... Almost forgot to mention.... IF you happen to have an iPhone or equivalent pda, there is an app that will ALSO allow you to access and manipulate your Dropbox files. Way cool, huh?
